The Hangover Part II

The Hangover Part II

I just watched the trailer some days ago and I got to tell you, I LOVE STU!

Seriously, we might think Zach Galifianakis funny and all (and he sure is. Search forr him presenting SNL), but i personaly love Ed Helms. The part which i laughed the most in the last movie was the tooth part. But I don’t think this one is going to be as funny as the last one.

The tiger is now a monkey, the tooth is now a tattoo and Doug is…. Where’s Doug in this movie anyway?! (Can you even see him in the trailer? I’m pretty sure he’s there because his wife appears on the phone. AGAIN! Are you part of this movie Justin Bartha? Did you even get paid for this?! I don’t know!), Vegas is Bangkok, the chinese guy is… the chinese guy again! It’s so… Jersey Shore! Can somebody call The Situation?

I read some reviews before about this trailer and about the movie and I only saw some rally bad stuff, but honestly, the movie’s got a PART II in the title for some reason right? It’s not like the plot is going to be any different this time.  Can this cast make the difference and make this lengen…wait for it…dary? (As Barney from How I Met Your Mother would say?)

It’s a fact that people ARE gonna go to the movies to watch it. But will they like this as much as they liked the last one?

Can they top the $277,313,371 (according to they grossed with the first one ? Yes, they can.

Now, for one thing I’m sure: no matter where Phil (Bradley Cooper) goes, his hair is still the same. How is it even possible? And how can Stu marry a sucker puncher?! What about Heather Graham?! Maybe she’ll come to part 3 (if it happens)?! Let’s wait for it!

Here’s the trailer. Let me know what you think.

Casting news!

It was announced over this weekend that Lily Collins got the part as the snow white in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White movie, apparently it’ll be in 3D. She talked to People Magazine about it and here’s what she said: “Snow White was my favourite fairy tale [growing up], and when I first read about the project, I was like, ‘I have to get in on this’. It’s such an iconic character.” Oh, really?

I don’t know what to say about this choice. Rumours first said that Saoirse Ronan was in talks for the production, but apparently she lost it (or is The Hobbit creating scheduling conflicts?!). But to Lily Collins? I have nothing against the girl, but Saiorse is an extraordinary actress and I have watched The Lovely Bones and  Atonement like a hundred times each and I can honestly tell you, this girl is one of a kind. Her acting is incredibly awesome and believable. As for Lily Collins, I only watched The Blind Side (and honestly, is she even on that?! It’s like 5 seconds) and she didn’t surprise me. It didn’t click, you know?

My suggestion would be Ellen Page. I think she did an amazing job in Juno, in Inception and I think she is a terrific actress. Or maybe, Mila Kunis?! just brainstorming, but I just think prince charming looks kind of old for Lily…

As for prince charming, Armie Hammer was casted and, for this one I can say, he did an AMAZING job in The Social Network as the Winklevossess, and I’m sure he can handle this job (I’m so excited for J. Edgar!). But don’t you think it’s a weird couple? Let me know your opinions!

See ya,

P.S.: Julia Roberts is set to play the Evil queen in the movie. Big, huge chance for Lily, because every movie Julia Roberts is part of, it’s a hit. Let’s hope she does her best.

We never forget our first…

Hey everybody!

I’ve been wanting to create a blog for a long time, but I was actually really lazy to do it before…

I’m going to write here some things about movies (as the title of the blog suggests), music, culture, books… anyway, anything I think is interesting and that I think you all could be interested.

Since I’m brazilian, americans will probably watch movies previously than me, but I’m going to try to keep up with the news, so please be patient, ok?

You can send me emails in this adress ( and I’ll answer them as soon as possible (over the weekends when I have more time).

So, next post we’ll start our journey!

Thank you so much for your visit and time,
